All About Chip

In all my work I try to tell a story; a talent I feel I learned from my godmother who has a flare for the art of story telling. She combines the history and culture of the classical Greeks and Romans, Native Americans and Christianity in her stories. My art, too, pays homage to these beliefs but more importantly, because I was taught to look at a picture from multiple viewpoints, my design work has multiple facets and meanings behind each piece.

From a young age I have been obsessed with advertisements. I used to spend hours flipping through magazines just to look at the ads. My favorite work was always the Absolute ads because they had a knack for using double meanings in subtle ways. Even today I find myself staring at ads to evaluate how I would design them.

As an artist I strive to make every concept better than the last. I believe that if you do not change and mature then you are doomed to repeat your mistakes.
