In my sculpture I use common building materials in common ways but I tweak them just a bit. In one instance I constructed walls that covered up plugs and made angles more than 90 degrees. I proceeded to create false shadows on these walls by carving relief sculptures into them. In another instance I took toy army men and used them as a metaphor for adult conflicts.
